Fernando continues the legacy of the Marzan family as a line of extremely reputable and well-known musicians in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Since 1994, he has been the pianist for the Broadway/London hit production of Forever Tango. With this company he has toured for more than seven years throughout the United States (New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Washington, Seattle, Philadelphia, etc.), Canada (Montreal, Toronto, Ottawa, Vancouver), Japan (Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Hiroshima, Fukuoka, etc.) and many other countries around the world (Italy, England, Portugal, Korea, Mexico, Argentina, etc).

During the last few years, he has also participated in the recording of several CDs, such the soundtracks of  Evita, starring Madonna and The Impostors, starring Oliver Platt and Stanley Tucci. Between 1994-1995, he  recorded two CDs with Forever Tango in Los Angeles. In 1996 he recorded the Suite for USA with Ruben Gonzalez, concertino of  the Chicago  Symphony Orchestra. In 1999, he recorded the Tango Vivo CD, and  was also the Musical Director of the project. In 2000, the third and fourth Forever Tango CDs were recorded  in Japan, with the renown  local artist Taro Hakase, and  the work was called Watashi. In 2002, Fernando made arrangements and recorded for the singer Martin de Leon, with the Carlos Galvan Orchestra,  a CD which later sold in their Japanese tour. In 2004, he made the arrangements for the album Pasional with the Swedish singer Rolando Pomo. As a solo artist, he produced three albums : Bendita Buenos Aires, Recuerdo and Gotanda Tango Station, where he included some of his own compositions.

In 2002, he took over as Musical Director for the show Tango Seduction. With this show (already critically acclaimed in Europe as a highly creative and original tango show), he toured in numerous countries such as Austria, Greece and Turkey.

In 2003, he became the Musical Director and Arranger for the show entitled Tango Buenos Aires.  This company had incredible repercussion in more than fifty cities in the USA and was acknowledged by the reviewers as one of the best tango shows to tour the country. Tango Buenos Aires played at some of the most important theaters in the US: The Chicago Symphony Hall, The Dallas Orchestra Hall, The Mc Callum Theater, etc.

In 2004, Fernando joined the Tango Emotion show as Musical Director, and toured through several cities in Finland and Sweden. This same year he was also called by the Tango Dreams show, to participate in an  extensive run of more than one hundred presentations in Tokyo, Japan and performed at the Olympia Theater in Paris, with the Tango Seduction show. He also returned to Forever Tango later that year and performed in a tour that would begin in Rome and continue through cities in the USA (Chicago, Detroit, Philadelphia) and Canada (Toronto).

In 2005, with his own Quintet, including  many Maestros from the New Mexico Symphony Orchestra and the Orchestral Direction of Maestro Javier Lorenzo, he played Maria de Buenos Aires, by Astor Piazzolla, during the opening of the Hispanic Convention Center in Albuquerque. This same year, he was named  Musical Director for the Tango Dreams show, repeating the successful run of another 100 shows in Tokyo. During the European summer season, he played with his Quintet at the Tango Festival in Denmark and Italy.

In 2006, once again with Forever Tango, he travelled for two months throughout Mexico and the USA (Florida),  and then went to Lisbon, Portugal and Reno, Nevada for another two  months. Due to the great success of the previous season, he performed with his Quintet in the Second Edition of the Tango Festival and also played as part of the prestigious Vendsyssel Festival in Denmark to excellent reviews.

For many years Fernando has worked with numerous well-known musicals and television shows. In 1988, at the age of 21, he had the privilege of directing the musical High Society. From 1987-1994, he worked on popular Argentine television shows, such as “La Noche del Domingo”, “Alejandro Dolina”, and “Hola Susana”, among others. As a tango pianist he played for the most prestigious Tango Clubs, such as  Michelangelo, Casablanca, La Ventana and Tango Mio.

He began his musical studies at 6 years of age. His educational achievements included attaining the diploma of Choir Director at age fourteen and Professor of Music at seventeen, from the National Conservatory of Music. In addition, he refined and perfected his skills as a classical pianist under the tutelage and direction of the very finest professors in Argentina and The United States.
