  Karina Piazza

Karina Piazza was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina.  She started dancing at the age of five and specialized in ballet at the “Instituto Superior de Arte” of the  Colon Theatre. In 1988 she joined the Modern Jazz Ballet, a highly prestigious company directed by Noemi Coelho and Rodolfo Olguin, and performed at the most important theatres of Buenos Aires:  Teatro San Martin,  Teatro Cervantes, Teatro Presidente Alvear, Teatro Astral,  and many others. During this period, she also toured  throughout the country.

In 1995 she became a cast member of the acclaimed show, Forever Tango.  From 1995 until 2001, she completed almost six years of  non-stop touring with this show, dancing in numerous venues throughout the United States ( New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Miami, Washington, Seattle, Philadelphia, etc.), Canada (Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, Ottawa, etc.) as well as  in several European countries (Italy, Portugal), Asia (Japan and Korea) and Latin America ( Mexico, Argentina- at the Colon Theater in Buenos Aires-).

In 1996 she participated in The Spoletto Festival,  where Forever Tango was mentioned as the festival sensation. Karina was part of the original cast that went to Broadway and stayed there during 14 successful months (from June 1997 to August 1998), being nominated for the Tony Awards  for Best Choreography. In 1999 she travelled through Canada once again, with the Tango Vivo show,  which closed  its tour at the famous Maissoneuve Theater, in Montreal.

Well known as a very versatile dancer, Karina was called on in 2002 to be the principal dancer for the show Latin Dance Carnival, in which she demonstrated her skills not only as a Tango dancer, but in  many different kinds of Latin-American rhythms. This tour extended to more than 15 cities in Japan.

In 2003 she took part in the show, Tango Buenos Aires,  which performed with great success in over fifty cities in  the USA,   and at many important theaters such as The Chicago Symphony Hall, The Dallas Orchestra Hall, etc.

In 2003, Karina also toured through Europe (Austria, Greece and Turkey) with an original  show called Tango Seduction, which was acclaimed by the European audiences.

In 2004, she joined the  Tango Emotion show, touring in several cities of Finland and Sweden. She then travelled to France, to dance at the Olympia Theater in Paris with the  Tango Seduction show, as part of a tour that extended to Israel and Lithuania. In October of that same year, she travelled to Rome and to numerous cities in the USA, such as Chicago, Philadelphia and Detroit, with Forever Tango.

In 2005, with the show entitled  Tango Dreams, she was part of a successful run in Tokyo for more than two months and then travelled to Denmark and Italy for the Tango Festival which took place in those countries.

In 2006, she toured in over 25 cities in Mexico and the USA, once again with the Forever Tango show, and later participated in an additional tour through Portugal and the USA.

In between tours, Karina danced in  and choreographed many shows in Argentina such as Tango Class. She performed at the Sheraton Hotel and  at the prestigious Tango Clubs, “El Viejo Almacen” and “Taconeando”.



Héctor Falcón

Hector Falcon is one of the most talented Tango dancers, teachers and choreographers to come out of Argentina.

He has studied Tango with several masters such as Los Dinzels, Pepito Avellaneda and the one and only Juan Carlos Copes and Antonio Todaro, who are considered to be some of the best tango teachers of all times.

Hector has been the lead dancer in several major international Tango shows including Miguel Angel Zotto’s production of Tango X2, Tango Passion, Tango Buenos Aires, Tango Metropolis, Fascination Tango, Tango Emoción, Tango Seducción, Mariano Mores a todo Tango, etc …  He has also participated in the show of Mariano Mores Orchestra and the Sexteto Tango Orchestra.

He has performed throughout Europe, Africa, Asia, Latin America, Australia, and has starred in productions in Japan, Korea, the UK, Germany, Central and South America as well as the United States.

He has participated in many renowned Tango Shows in Buenos Aires such as "Señor Tango", and performed in famous Tango venues as "Caño 14", "Michelangelo" and "Café Tortoni."

As choreographer, Hector has developed seminal works. Standing out among these is the show "Tango Buenos Aires" of which he was both the choreographer and lead dancer that toured seventy cities in United States that enjoyed big success with both audience and critics.

As a Tango teacher, Hector has made a training course for professional dancers and has taught regular workshops in cities like Boston, New York, Detroit, Toronto, Paris, Bordeaux, Madrid, Copenhagen, Milano, London, Malmo, Sao Paulo and Buenos Aires.

His Tango classes primarily focus on proper technique for social dancing; however, some elements in the more advanced classes will also be suitable for exhibition.
